Meet Our Women's Leadership Team
Sarah Nolan, 1stSgt, USMC, (Ret)
Women’s Program Coordinator & Drop Zone Facilitator
Sarah Nolan serves as ORW’s Women’s Program Coordinator, Drop Zone facilitator, and is a retired First Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps with 20 years of service. She served as a Drill Instructor/Senior Drill Instructor at Parris Island, SC, and also served on several combat deployments supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.
Upon her retirement in August of 2015, Sarah began her journey as a freelance artist. She took on many projects including illustrating a book for veterans suffering with PTSD (which has yet to be published), doing volunteer work for Museum of the Marine fundraisers, and selling her artwork for profit. Shortly after retirement, she relocated to a small town in Pennsylvania where she restored her 114 year-old Victorian home. She also purchased and restored a historic commercial building in town-which she now uses as her art studio and rents it out as a venue for special occasions.
During her service in the military, Sarah battled with alcohol, depression, sleep disorders, anxiety, prescription drug dependency, a divorce, and toxic/abusive relationship patterns. These issues progressively worsened in the four years that followed her retirement, until she decided to completely submit her life to Jesus.
Drop Zone Facilitator
Kim Matthews is a Drop Zone facilitator and the founder of His Walk Media, a nonprofit organization dedicated to revealing God’s heart through all forms of media. She also leads The Possible Group, a character coaching company for high profile people.
Through media and the mobilization of prayer, she infiltrates some of the hardest-to-reach inner cities of America with the light of the Gospel. She mentors a group of young women to grow in the knowledge of God while walking in the wisdom to fulfill Kingdom purposes in their lives for their generation.
In the Spirit of Malachi 4:6, Kim is on a mission to restore families, by building men and equipping fathers through Biblical principles. An intercessor at heart, with a passion for Jesus Kim is out to change the world!
She first learned of ORW through the movie Holy Ghost Reborn and became excited about the depth of healing that was available for military men. Kim attended a Drop Zone training to help launch a program for women and it was there that the “little girl” inside of her was set free. Since then, she has never looked back. As a leader with ORW, she follows God’s lead to bring healing and restoration to the women warriors of our nation.
Drop Zone Facilitator
Elizabeth is a Drop Zone facilitator, spouse of an Army veteran, and mother to three daughters including one who is currently serving with the Illinois National Guard. She is a certified Life Coach through Bridges Coaching and currently works full time in the field of medical administration.
Elizabeth met her husband of 20 years while in high school and they married one week after her high school graduation. A few months later, the events of 9/11 took place and her husband deployed shortly after. In the midst of living with a husband who returned from combat with depression, anxiety, symptoms of PTSD, and explosive anger, Elizabeth’s heart took on a lot of hurt. Even with all of that taking place, she did her best to push through in her own effort and help hold everyone else’s lives together by shutting down her own dreams and desires. In July 2017, Elizabeth’s husband had his heart restored at a men’s Drop Zone through ORW. What Jesus did for him was a starting place of healing for Elizabeth!
After attending a Drop Zone in October 2019, Elizabeth’s heart came alive and she embraced the truth of who she really is. As she walks out her freedom, she sees relationships in her life growing and healing in her marriage, with her daughters, and in her relationship with Jesus.
She serves ORW because her heart is for women to receive the same healing and restoration Jesus gave to her.

Sarah is a Drop Zone facilitator, spouse of an Army veteran, and mother of five children whom she utilizes her gift of teaching by homeschooling them. She is a graduate of Elim Bible Institute & College, certified Life Coach & Coach Trainer through Bridges Coaching, and a Growth Coach through Lifeforming Leadership Coaching. She specializes in spiritual formation and helping people successfully navigate transitions in life.
Her husband served in the Army for six and a half years as an infantryman with a combat deployment to Afghanistan before being medically retired.
Sarah has supported the ministry of ORW because her own life was drastically changed after her husband’s healing experience at an ORW Drop Zone. As a women’s Drop Zone facilitator, she desires to see healing take place for women warriors.
